Lessons: The Details

Here are the three basic steps to begin lessons; the remainder of the page will fill in the details.

     • Read through the information on this page

     • Check my online schedule for a convenient lesson time

     • Contact me by email or give me a call at 734-330-2457

LESSONS

Lessons are forty-five minutes in length and are scheduled from approximately 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday. I generally do not schedule lessons on Friday, with the exception of an occasional make-up lesson, or when no other time is available.

LESSON FEES

Lessons rates for the 2024 – 2025 school year are $59 per forty-five minutes, and $39.34 per thirty minute lessons. At the end of each month I will send an invoice to each student for the total amount that you owe. I ask that you then pay by check at your next lesson which will generally be the first week of the next month, checks should be made payable to Brassworks.  More detailed payment information can be found here

STUDIO

The information in the paragraph is currently obsolete as all lessons are being taught online. I am leaving it here for now in the hope that we can return to regular in person lessons in the near future.

My studio is in my home on Sullivan Drive which is on the far west side of Ann Arbor, close to the intersection of Dexter/Ann Arbor and Zeeb Roads. Once we schedule your first lesson, I will send exact directions to you. Please note that there is a waiting room for students, parents, and siblings to use. If you arrive early, or need a place to wait after your lesson, the waiting room is there for your use. There is also a bathroom that is close to the waiting room and easily accessible.

ONLINE SCHEDULE

You can take a look at my online schedule by clicking here. I keep this online calendar up to date and make changes as they occur, it is not unusual for updates to occur several times per day. Each week some students need to cancel or come at an alternate time,  so to get an accurate picture of my permanent schedule it is  best to move forward one or two weeks from the current week.  If you do not see a time that fits your schedule just let me know. I am frequently able to swap times between students to obtain an ideal time for each student.

As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, there are variations in my schedule each week. Sporting activities, school functions, vacations, are among the many reasons that students need to cancel or reschedule lessons. It is imperative that you give me at least a twenty-four hour notice when you are unable to keep your scheduled lesson. I do understand that there are circumstances that arise that make it impossible to give advance notice, however you will be charged for any missed lessons when you do not provide a twenty-four hour notice.
